We are excited to announce that our Chief Strategic Officer, Derek Lee, was a featured speaker at the prestigious CREATInG Initiative International Roundtable: “Impactful Interventions for IVD Access in Global Markets”. This significant event, co-led by Duke-NUS Centre of Regulatory Excellence (CoRE), Duke Kunshan University, and the Gates Foundation, were taken placed in Singapore from July 14-15, 2025. Its core aim is to accelerate global access to in-vitro diagnostics (IVDs) for critical health needs.
On July 15, at 9:00 am SGT, Mr. Lee has delivered a presentation on 'Optimising IVD regulatory strategy for the global market'. He did address the critical challenge of the lengthy time-to-market for IVD products, often exceeding six years. His talk proposed key solutions for enhancing regulatory efficiency in Asia, including expanding WHO Collaborative Registration Procedure (CRP) partnerships or establishing a dedicated regional regulatory body. Furthermore, he would emphasize the importance of incentivizing local IVD production to boost regional capacity and foster continuous market innovation through forward-looking regulatory strategies.
